Israel and Lucy - Sunset Wedding on the lake

After a magical engagement session we photographed Israel and Lucy's Magical Wedding on the lake. It was absolutely beautiful, the sun was setting as they were married and all seemed right and perfect for these two. One of the best parts of the wedding was when Israel had a surprise song to sing to Lucy at the reception seen right below.

It was really difficult for Lucy to hold back her emotions and admiration for her new husband. Love truly is a wonderful thing.

Julie and Jason

Last weekend the girls got together with Julie and Jason for an engagement session. We had such a great time venturing through the city looking for great spots to shoot these two and found plenty... The fickle Houston weather was absolutely perfect.

When we start shooting we always try to explain how difficult it can be getting behind the camera but for Julie and Jason it was literally too easy. They both complimented each other so well. Julie is flawless and Jason knew how pose just right for the camera. Plus their love for each other made the whole session magical....

Baby Paytn + Andrew and Kristen = The Ritchies

Today the girls met up with The Ritchies and their newest 6 week addition to the family....Beautiful Baby Paytn. We were so excited to be able to pose this little one on all sorts of things for some of the sweetest shots. Thanks to Lucie "the clown" displaying her excellent baby talk skills, all the lullabies on the Iphone and of course a willing mother who let us play with Patyn in and on boxes...we were able to get a few shots of Baby Paytn and he was such a good sport. Debbie and Daniel welcome the fall season!

We want to say congrats to Debbie and Daniel on the their engagement and for also being so much fun to work with....oh yeah, and for raking up all the leaves in the forest for our favorite shots below! Yes, it is fall in Houston but that doesn't mean we get the enormous amounts of leaves and the gorgeous fall colors of reds, oranges and yellows like most 4 season cities. But hey...we'll take what we can get....a perfect temp. Not too hot and not too cold. Add in a fun and lovely engaged couple and you get Debbie and Daniel this past weekend.

Coming back from our hiatus the girls got behind the camera with these two..and what a way to start us off again. Debbie and Daniel were great sports and knew how to have fun and even took a few risks. Like Debbie showing off her running skills as she ran through the forest into the arms of her love and then they ventured off to where the wild things are or could have been. We have heard stories of giant alligators that lurk and swim the waters of this bayou. Nevertheless, they took the risk for the shot....and the session was great!!! We're Baaaack!

Hello All…..its been a couple of months since we have last blogged and we wanted to fill you in on what’s been going on in our lives. The Girls have all experienced a few changes in their lives lately. As we were all experiencing changes we decided to take a little time off to adjust. We also figured this would be good time to focus on changes that we needed to make in the company.

Felecie finally moved into the city. Although she was having withdrawals from not being with her family she has learned to survive and has easily adapted to the life of a city girl. Lucie has been busy expecting and planning for her 2^nd child….she is so excited and we are all so happy and cant wait to see our newest tiny member of the family in May. While Lucie is planning and expecting for one Sarah on the other hand has been planning and teaching 18 young ones.

The Girls also managed to have a little fun in the past two months attending a plenty of concerts, which include Kings of Leon, U2, Matt Kearney and Mute Math! And we had to make the road trip with a few of our friends down to Austin…..for one of the greatest music festivals….Austin City Limits. We had plenty of fun and laughs and of course plenty of food.

Last but not least, among all the changes and fun the girls have also been very busy re-grouping and working on a new phase in our photography business. Some of the new things to come will be a new website, new blog, new logo and a new brand. We are aiming for big changes in the New Year and are very excited for what lies ahead in photography… so stay tuned!

Luzy and Ricky's Wedding

Last weekend we were able to share Luzy and Ricky's big day at The Parador. We were glad we were able to be apart of such a memorable day in their lives. We not only were the photographers but they made us feel like we were great friends. Everything was beautiful and it was a perfect ending to a wonderful summer. OK...seriously let me introduce you to Ricky and Luzy....OMG...I just thought about the "I love Lucy" Show!! Just like that Ricky and Lucy these two were quite the characters. They were willing to do ANY pose we requested and not a bit shy to show their love and affection in front of us, spectators and the camera. We all know it's sometimes hard being in front of a camera...but not with these two. From bars, to butts, to bruno....we named it they did it (see below)!

Luzy and Ricky were so much fun and their love was so sweet it showed. These two will be married in August so stayed tuned for more....Please say with your finest Cuban accent..."Luuuuuzy I'm home"...sorry I get carried away sometimes. =)

7am is pretty early to start shooting but that's how you do it in this Hot Houston weather. Candace is a soon to be mom sporting the baby bump. You know how people say, "Oh, she's all belly" well Candace really is!! She has the cutest baby bump and we were glad we got a chance to photograph her right before her big arrival. Having some previous model experience, she was such a pro at posing for the camera and dealing with these hot temps even at 7am. She is so exicted to be a Mom and has that beautiful pregnancy glow!! Last night I am sure my Uncle Joel was smiling down from heaven with approval as our family celebrated the marriage of his son John and new daughter Jessica Roman. John is the last of three sons to marry in his family. I was honored to be asked to photograph the wedding of this dear cousin of mine. It was a wonderful celebration and was a beautiful facility. The reception and ceremony took place at the Paraiso Maravilla in Houston. John and Jessica, I wish you the best in the future. You two are definitely made for eachother!

Spencer and Charlotte: Calvert, TX

Two weeks ago we had back to back weddings. Our second wedding (after Ashley and Matt's) was on Saturday in Calvert, TX. Spencer and Charlotte decided to wed at a cute little bed and breakfast called The Calvert Inn Bed and Breakfast. This was the sweetest antique house! They were married in the heat of the day but it was all worth it because Charlotte got her dream outdoor wedding. We immensly enjoyed this short road trip. The town was adorable and we wish we had more time to stop and enjoy the scenery but we had to get back home to our dads the next day. We would like to thank Charlotte, Spencer and their wonderful family for letting us photograph their special day. Slideshow coming soon.

Felecie's Stoned!

TGC was expecting to have a productive day today, responding to all those unanswered e-mails, editing, uploading, & blogging, but instead I got a phone call from Sarah at around 7:45 this morning to tell me that Felecie was doubled over in her bed crying with a horrible pain in her side and back. Felecie was on her way to court (for a speeding ticket) but was in so much pain that she had to pull over and stop at Sarah's. The pain would come and go but finally got bad enough to where we were able to convince her to go to the E.R. (thank God she went!) We spent our entire morning with her having tests run and finally found out she had kidney stones!

She is finally back home taking her antibiotics and following the doctors orders. We wish her a speedy recovery passing those stones! I hear it's pretty rough! ouch! Here she is in the E.R. totally out of it. We couldn't resist!! Mobile uploads holla!

Matt and Ashley - A "Good" guy always gets a "Good" girl

Last weekend the Girls shot back to back weddings and seriously what better way could we have kicked off the summer than with 2 outdoor weddings!!! We started with Ashley and Matt’s which was held at the Courtyard on St. James Place. It was absolutely beautiful and the weather…well...ummm… even if it felt like a heat wave had blown into the city of Houston….it's what we know and can expect this time of year. But like I tweeted….every Houstonian bride has the right to have that perfect outdoor wedding in the beginning of summer...even if it is 100 degrees! Those of you from Houston know how our seasons work...winter, 2-3 days of spring (if that)….then BOOM….its SUMMER!!!

But the heat couldn’t ruin this night. Their love was real and it showed. Words cannot describe the emotions Matt displayed the first time he saw his beautiful bride that night….and as Matt put it….(Ashley) you never looked more beautiful to me then when I saw you walking down that aisle. As if melting in the heat wasn’t enough already….when he said those words to Ashley I think our hearts melted a little too. Ahhh… Sweet Romance.

Soooo many friends and family had the kindest words about these two but what I thought was true was when Matt’s father talked about how Matt was just a “good” guy….such a compliment. As girls we know it can sometimes be difficult to find a good guy. But in the end the good guy got the good girl….

The Dominguez Family

This weekend I stopped by the Dominguez family residence (my cousins) for a quick shoot with little Mariah who will soon be turning 3 years old. I shot her 2 year pictures last year at the cupcake boutique. This year her mom is 7 months pregnant with a baby boy! We decided to shoot in their home since the Houston weather has been in the 100's lately. Here are a few of the favs.

Weddings, Burgers, and Fruit...

This weekend was a busy one for TGC. We had back to back weddings Friday and Saturday. Ashley and Matt's wedding was Friday night in Houston. Then Saturday morning we headed out to Calvert to photograph Charlotte and Spencer's wedding. Of course we had to make the usual starbucks stop to get our 3 perfect oatmeals and 3 caramel light frappuccinos. The morning snack didn't hold us long so we made a lunch stop in College Station. We googled places to eat in College Station and the "Stover Boys Burgers" came up! These were absolutely the BEST burgers we have ever had!!! We got to talking with the owner who was so nice. We told him we would tell everyone about the place. So if you are ever in College Station you have to try Stover Boys Burgers.

After the Saturday wedding in Calvert, we tried to drive home but realized we were too exhausted and had to stay in College Station and head back in the morning. On our way back Sunday morning, we saw the cutest little farmer's market on the side of the road so we stopped to check it out and get some fruit!

Anyhow, we made it back to Houston in time to spend the day with our wonderful dads! We had a blast at both weddings. Can't wait to get them up and blogged. For now here are some of our favorite bridals of the two beautiful brides.

Summer's just outside our window!

Last week for Memorial Day, we (The Girls, Clinty Poo, and Dyl Dyl) decided to head to one of our favorite cities in the world - Austin, Texas. We figured since summer is so close, it's time to get our tan on! Lucie came up with this grand idea of going para sailing. So, we went to Volente Beach on Lake Travis where we para sailed and rented a boat for the rest of the evening. Since all three girls are basically afraid of heights we figured it would be a memorable experience. Sarah ended up being fearless not afraid to let go, while Felecie and Lucie held on for dear life.

We have been busy doing a lot of bridals lately,(which we cannot post until the weddings) we thought we would post pics from our little trip!

Graduation

So last week was my big day! The day I had been working towards for years (seriously you don't want to know how many). The graduation ceremony was early in the morning. My family and my two best friends (Lu and Fel) came out to see me walk the stage. I had been wanting to back out all week, due to the fact that I just felt too old to be there crossing the stage with hundreds of people in their early twenties. However, my friends and family talked me into walking and I am really glad I did. There is just something about crossing that stage that makes the whole thing feel complete! This has been a long journey for me. Changing majors three times! In the end I am more happy than I have ever been and so glad I came back to school to pursue what has always been in my heart which is teaching children.

After the ceremony, Lucie and Felecie rushed back home to prepare a Luau celebration. We had a blast with some of my closest friends. It was just perfect. Too bad our camera batteries went out before we started the real fun! Below is a slideshow with few pics we took of the ceremony and luau...

We have had to put off this engagement shoot for weeks now, because every time we attempted it we have gotten rained out or have had some sort of emergency. Well, we were finally able to photograph Jessica and John this weekend. John is in a group called S.O.M, he is also a twin (who's brother's engagements and wedding we shot a while back). Jessica is a math major currently changing careers and heading into teaching! These two are getting married in July. We can wait to shoot their wedding!

A Sweet Romance - Ashley & Matt

After traveling all around the Downtown area we were happy to finish out our Saturday sessions with this lovely couple...Ashley and Matt. They are engaged and will be getting married this summer and we are excited to be a part of their wedding. So, we started at Discovery Green were Matt proposed to Ashley and I think we ended up at some abandoned warehouse....imagine that. Matt and Ashley were such great models and we enjoyed capturing their personalities and love for each other on camera. They have such a unique bond and a sweet, sweet romance. The Beautiful Taylor Family

Last Saturday morning we started our sessions with The Taylor Family. They were such great sports working in the cold, windy weather...but that is just typical of Houston weather....hot one day then cold the next. We arrived Saturday to our second shoot to meet with Channing and beautiful little Eden. They are long time returning clients of ours. We shot Eden's 1 year old pictures which seems like forever ago! Then we took her family pictures a little while after that. Now, Eden is 3 and practically all grown up. Channing said she was excited to see "The Girls" again. It's amazing how we get to see some of our clients literally grow right before our eyes...and when the little ones remember and bond with us, that is just the best feeling!

Amanda and Camron's Wedding

So, where were we? oh, right. Amanda & Camron's wedding in KATY, not CONROE! (explanation coming) So, last weekend we were headed out to Katy, TX to the beautiful Tuscany Villa for the wedding of Amanda & Camron, but for whatever reason, (uhm, felecie) we arrived in Conroe. It was 3:30 and we were supposed to be there at 4, when Lucie (the genius of the bunch) looked up and said, "umm Felecie, when are we getting to I-10?" Felecie proceeded to say, it's coming up soon, but Lucie began to get a little upset and explained to Felecie that I-10 was no where near 45 North. We're not sure how much further Felecie would've driven us, perhaps Dallas?

Needless to say we took the 1st exit and headed back to I-10. After calling Amanda, and explaining to her what happened (we were a little embarrassed) she was a great sport and happy we didn't drive all the way to Dallas!

Lizzie and Gabe's Brenham Wedding

Last weekend the girls headed to Brenham, TX for Lizzie and Gabe's wedding. This road trip we only managed to stop twice...once for Mexican food (I know shocker) and the second stop was for gas. While we were getting gas we just so happened to stumbled upon a great treat....Girl Scout cookies...of course we had to have them.

Now, where were we....ok headed to the wedding. So, we traveled just a little bit further on Hwy 290 and arrived at the Antique Rose Emporium and it was like stepping into a beautiful garden. Something you just don’t see in the city. The weather was perfect and the evening beautiful and so romantic. And here are a few shots of Lizzie and Gabe's antique wedding.

Sunday (after a wedding in Brenham that will be blogged later) we had the privilege of taking the engagement photos of Clair and Rob. Clair likes the nature setting so we took some at a forest, a field and a beach. These two were unbelievably easy to work with. This shoot was so relaxed! Their pictures came out so cool, they look like they should be an add for a jeans company :)

Jenn and JK's Wedding

TGC's March Madness actually started on February 28th where we celebrated Jenn and JK's endless love. TGC drove out to Historic Galveston island and captured yet another beautiful wedding. Jenn and JK got married at Hotel Galvez and it was perfect and yet perfectly planned. Let me explain, when we first met Jenn..let's see...2 years ago...the first words outta her mouth were, "I am the type of girl that has a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and even a Plan D"....at that moment I knew this wedding would be beautiful and beautifully planned. Jenn booked her wedding in 2007 when we were first starting out as a buisness and we were absolutley hyped that she trusted us back then and also new exactly what she wanted as a bride. Thanks Jenn and JK for putting your trust in us and we know you will love the outcome. The wedding was outdoors in the Garden just as the sun was setting and then inside to the Terrace Ballroom for an amazing reception. Jenn crossed all her t's and dotted all her i's on one of the most important days in her life!! Everything was perfect...the night, the mood and their love. Congrats Jenn and JK....it was a blast! We do 10Ks before weddings...

So...we had all been debating on whether or not to run the Houston 10K (6.2miles) rodeo run. Reason being, we have been way too busy and running has taken a back seat to work. I haven't run much since the marathon, and Felecie has only run 6 miles once in her life and that was almost 2 years ago. However,this week all three of us were able to get in a 3 mile run twice, and we figured that would be sufficient so we signed up for the race. My goal was to finish in under an hour, Felecie's was to finish without stopping to walk, and Lucie's was to finish holding hands with her husband. Well some of us met our goals and one of us has a VERY competitive husband to say the least.

Anyhow, we are all proud of ourselves for finishing. We also had very little time to get home and head to the Wedding of Jenn and JK in Galveston...which turned out beautiful!!! The wedding will be blogged later this week, so for now here are Jenn's beautiful bridals.

Out of the blog two….

~So it’s here….. the “love” holiday….Valentine’s Day! This year my sweet Valentine will be my beautiful chocolate lab…it works he’s chocolate. I think we will do something special today! Lucie is out to Dallas to spend it with her husband's family and Sarah will be shooting her cousin's small wedding today. Those of you, who are married, are engaged, in a relationship, kinda dating….good luck waiting at the restaurant of your choice. That is just madness!! However, I do hope you get some beautiful flowers, chocolate covered strawberries and extra love….remember this day is all about you girls…so enjoy it.

~On the relationship note the girls and a few more girls went to see the movie He’s just not that into you….WARNING info and part of the ending is below…. those of you who haven’t seen it and don’t want any sort of info on this movie…please cover your eyes or skip the next section below. Ok….so it was just alright, I mean some of it was true but I am seriously in no way as psycho and desperate as the single girl in the movie – Gi Gi. At least I don’t think so…. We all left still feeling as confused about relationships as we were before went into the movie. The best part and the only part that made me have a smidgen of hope for love was the Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck romance. He was portrayed as a “one of a kind” or too good to be true….one of those rare men you just don’t ever find and only see in movies and read in books. So the deal was, he was in a 7 year relationship and would not marry. Despite the fact that he never wanted to be married he ended up marrying her because the only way he could be happy is if she was happy….awwwww…I think I had tears. Ok enough about that crazy thing called love…..the girls plus a few extra girls had a great time and maybe the best time was the Mexican food and allllll the laughs!

Here we are giving it all a thumbs down except lucie gave it a sideways thumb.

~Things that are still in…..plum nailpolish, almost black but not quite black. rimmel has a color that is fabulous…deliciously dark. Working out, when you eat the amount of Mexican food and junk food we eat….we have too. Working with your best friends and still having all your friends from HS….work and fun is always filled with plenty of laughs and times of reminiscing.…..not many get this chance but we still do….Amanda and Mandy….we love you!

~Things that are sooooo out…..winter, just absolutely despise it. Not that it is even that cold here in Houston but just the up and down, starting in the 30’s then ending in the 70’s gets so old. It reminds me of a really unhealthy relationship I had…so stop Houston winter. The girls are counting down the days to spring and those HOT humid summers. To be exact Spring is just 33 days away…click here to be more exact...I thought this was great and kinda funny! Eating junk food….we are working on cutting it out of our lives like a lot of our bad habits but this one is hard to do. Also, eating at a restaurant on Valentine ’s Day…for those of you doing it…as I mentioned before…pure madness. Get ready to wait and then to wait some more!

I think we had some sort of mini - meeting while eating fajitas at el tiempo when we decided that we should do an occasional post compiling some of our favorite thoughts and things about our personal lives.....then we came up with "Out of the Blog!" This will be a post talking about whatever excites the girls...please note that there will be mentioning of good food in this post! So now introducing....."Out of the Blog"

~ok...since we are talking about food! the girls get really excited when Pappasitos does their fajitas for two for half price. last week we headed over to little pappasitos on kirby for their special even though it was delish they kinda skimpped us on our fajits...but as usual it was more than enough for us. for you southerners i think it's still going on....so quick enjoy it while you can!!!

~enough about food....I know this movie has been out forever but for those of you who have not seen Slumdog Millionaire...gotta see it, a truly amazing love story. on the movie note...the girls are really excited for he's just not that into you premiering February 6th!!! it just looks so good and so true...another movie about relationships, just what the world needs.

~so this year we all committed to that wonderful love/hate realtionship with fitness (even though lucie will be having an open marriage with her husband and fitness..i am sure he wont mind) sarah and i say we are "dating" fitness but i had a minor setback. i somehow tore a ligament in my ankle and i'm in recovery mode this week, hopefully this will heal soon so my most favorite boyfriend of all "fitness" and i can make up and be back in our love/hate relationship. the girls favorite accomplishment was the annual rockets 5k run on saturday. it was like running around the block for sarah and maybe 3 blocks for lucie....me on the other hand somewhat painful and i kinda felt like i was running through molasses....but that's just me the turtle. i challenge all of you to pick something that gets you up and moving as we are trying to do!

~one last thing....music.....we are totally loving the birtish artist Adele...if you haven't heard her check her out....she is amazing!

Courtney and Luke

This past weekend we had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Courtney and Luke. They were really a joy to work with. Courtney is the sweetest person you will ever meet (so is Luke). When she and Luke are together you get a glimpse of what true love really is. The Girls and I drove home that night and couldn't stop talking about how sweet they were together. Courtney and Luke, thank you for letting us be a part of your special day. We had a blast! Hopefully the slide show will be posted by this weekend.

Rockets Run 09!

This morning we dragged our tired selves out of bed to do the Houston Rockets 5K run. All three of us have set our new year goal to focus more on fitness. So as tired as we were from this busy week we were all running late and literally got out of the car and started running the race because the race had already started! Nonetheless, we were proud of ourselves for doing this race. Felecie did the race with an injured foot, Sarah did the race having been sick all week, and Lucie did the race with only one week of running. We all did well and plan on doing the Conoco 10K this coming month! Here are some pics of us and our brother Rod who also did the race.

Houston Half Marathon

Here are a few pictures from last weekend's half marathon along with a video my sister shot as I was nearing the finish line at mile 13. It was quite an experience. It seemed like the whole city of Houston was out cheering us on that morning. I was so nervous, having only trained for two weeks. I had never run that long of a distance in my life. But hearing everyone encouraging you along the way was real motivation. I achieved my goal finishing the race without stopping to walk. Crossing the finish line was really the best feeling I have ever had. I am now ready to really train (more than two weeks) for the full marathon next year. I am also trying to motivate the girls to sign up for some races this year with me. So hopefully there will be more active pictures from "The Girls at TGC."

Kendall and Seth are Married!

Kendall & Seth got married this weekend at the Briscoe Mannor in Richmond, TX. Besides, two of us being really sick, everything was great! The ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was beautiful. This was our first time over at the Briscoe Mannor and they did a wonderful job, so props to them!

The Girls have all been a bunch of sickos lately. All three of us have been bedridden for days at a time with the flu, upper respiratory infections, stomach virus and bronchitis! It has been awful considering we are not they type to easily get sick or stay in bed that way we have had to do! The good news is, we are all on the road to recovery! We apologize for the delay in response to emails and blogging. We will try to get some pictures posted from the wedding that we shot this weekend.

Okay...so we changed our banner again. We just were not feeling the helmet head blowing in the wind picture. It was a great pic but just wasn't "us". Saturday moring the Moss Family was running a little late. To pass time we had a little fun and snapped a few shots. Lu and Fel probably won't be to happy when they see I posted these on here but they will get over it. I let them have a little "sister session". Then we put the camera on the ground and took some of all three of us.

One Classy Family

Adrian, Amber & Adam...
Our first session this weekend was with the Moss Family. This was probably one of our all time favorite family shoots! They all came dressed so cute and after some conviincing we were even able to get Adrian to drive out of Clear Lake for us! :) We loved their outfits and loved their classy look! And what can we say about Adam? What a cutie! All three of us left the session wanting a little boy of our own like Adam. He has some personality on him! He wanted to look like "Jack" from Titanic...isn't he absolutely gorgeous?!

So we started off our morning with a bridal, and boy did these bridals come out fabulous! Too bad we have to wait until Courntey's wedding in late January :(

After the bridal, we had a queso emgerency...as usual. We made a quick stop at Pappasitos for lunch, and refuled for our next shoot. We'd like to give a shout out to our awesome waiter Harvey for hooking us up with some flaming cheese...literally.

The morning started out with a little bit of over cast and a little bit of rain...luckily our session didn't begin until 11 so the skies cleared out and the day ended up to be beautiful. So, when the weather is beautiful, why not head out to one of Houston's favorite spots...Herman Park! We met up with Javier, Kelly & Emily at the Houston Garden Center first, and got some great shots before we headed over to the park. Emily was such a delight and so cute repeating everything we said (watch out Mom & Dad)!

The day couldn't have gone better! Thanks Javier, Kelly & Emily for making our jobs so easy! A special thanks to Javier for putting up with us! :0

Jenn's Bridals

Okay...it's not Jenn's Bridals because we can't show you them...yet! We ventured off to Galveston this evening and had a fun session at the Hotel Galvez with beautiful Jenn. Her bridals came out great but we won't blog them until after her wedding in February. So for now here are some funny pictures of us (imagine that). We decided to take a walk on the seawall after the session and of course grabbed a bite at a great hamburger joint...The Spot. We also managed to get pulled over for going only 10 mph over the speed limit...but thankfully he let us go with just a warning. :)

The alarm goes off at 6:15 am and its a Saturday morning...wait a second something isnt right...it's Saturday but then again we are photographers, we are "The Girls" and we have two fabulous couples that need Engagements Photos...so, yes the world is right. Sooooo....we crawl out of bed (of course we are all in our own beds) and we head to Old Town Spring. Make a necessary Starbucks pit stop and go on our way. Old Town Spring was wonderful. The cutest shops and the cutest area. Lizzie and Gabe were excellent. Although, Lizzie was the ultimate "supermodel" shedding her coat and sweater in 40 degree weather just to get the shot. Ya know..to us Texans it felt like -40!! We then ventured over to a phenomenal field out in the middle of nowhere....but OH....what magic they made....see below. We had a wonderful time and captured some beautiful and romantic shots. Guess what....our favorites shots are below :)

To Cut or Not to Cut...that is the question.

Lately I have had an on going battle with myself... should I cut my daughters beautiful long locks? She is 3 years old and her hair reaches almost past her bottom :) Her bangs have been trimmed since was about 6 months old but her ends have never been touched. You can tell in this recent picture below how long, curly and blonde her baby hair is at the ends, but it is so tangliy and unmanageable! She just hates to have it brushed, which of course goes with out saying, but I feel so "torn" right now.

I either want to cut it short-Suri Cruise style or keep it long with the curls....

I need your help!!

What a Story!

Tony & Mary got married last Sunday at The Gallery in Houston. Their story is an inpiration to all. About one month before her wedding date she was given some unfortunate news along with quite a few other brides in Houston. She had already booked and paid for her wedding venue and the company went out of business and had nothing to offer her. Regardless of the circumstances, Mary kept such a positive attitude and did not let anything her down. We will never forget her first email she sent us letting us know about the changes. Mary simply told us that she had nothing to worry about because she was letting God handle it all for her.

We were all really concerned for her and couldn't imagine having planned our weddings for over a year, and something like that happening at the last minute. She basically had to start from scratch and plan another wedding, except this time she only had one month and had lost all her money from the previous payments. Mary completely put all her trust in God to provide for her. Little by little the last month God provided everything and more. She was such a blessing to work with and an example of a woman of complete faith!

Tony & Mary what a story! Your wedding turned out more beautiful than anyone could have planned. What a testimony of God's love and grace on your life. You guys deserved it! It was a privilege to get to know you and be a part of your wedding. We really feel blessed to have met you!

We just wrapped up one of our fall weddings in Galveston, TX. It was the first time we had been to Galveston since Hurricane Ike hit. The weather was beautiful, the San Luis Resort & Hotel was immaculate. From the looks of the Hotel you would have never thought that a hurricane hit last month. Kaycee & Thomas were stunning! After all the weddings we've been to, you would think eventually we could hold back the tears...This wedding was amazing. You could feel the LOVE all around!

Kaycee & Thomas, thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day, you have a beautiful family and a beautiful love!

Things are about 90% back to normal for Houston and The Girls. This hurricane really set us back for a while and put us behind. We hope all of our Texas friends and families made it out of Ike okay. TGC and their families did fine, just a few fences down and some roof damage.

The month of October brings us several weddings & shoots scheduled every weekend! We wanted to try and get some Holiday Mini Sessions in this year, but it doesn't look like our schedule will permit...bummer! We know the Holidays are coming up and everyone wants to get those Christmas cards out and we hope to help you with that.

So, if you are interested in booking in October, send us an email and we will try to fit you in.

I could NOT believe my eyes... Last weekend while shopping at Target, I saw aisle after aisle of Christmas Decorations?! I think they put the stuff out earlier and earlier every year!

Yesterday we headed to Discovery Green Park in downtown. This spot is becoming a favorite request of our clients, as well as ours! The weather was PERFECT. What a change in weather from what we are used to!!! We couldn't believe how dry the air felt. We are used to feeling humidity in the air the second we walk out.

Amanda and Camron were so cute together. We shot some pictures around the park then we got to take some in front of the Texas wall that we absolutly LOVE! No one ever seems to want pictures there so we were stoked when they said yes. While we were waiting for them to change clothes we shot a few of ourselves (lol). We decided to use one for a temporary banner since the other one was pretty old.

We had so much fun with these two. Can't wait for their wedding!

Dylan Does Pre-School

My little Dylan has started a new school (sniff, sniff). She is attending a Montessori school in the Houston area and is no longer going to school with her Na-Na. This will be a HUGE transition for Dylan, since she is so used to being her Na-Na's girl at school. The first day was ROUGH...for both of us. Mostly me though. I know she is going to love it and is going to enjoy all the neat things they will be doing there. Of course I got some shots of her looking so cute on day 1 and 2. Although, now that she is growing up it is getting harder and harder to keep her still for a photo!

Not sure what to think about this new classroom!?

She may have seen her mommy do this shot a time or two?!?!

To Whom Much is Given, Much Will Be Required!

This weekend we were so fortunate to attend the Hillsong Conference in Houston. This conference was put together by the Hillsong Church in Austrailia. At this conference we were made aware of the movement that is taking place...

A movement called "The I Heart Revolution," has been gaining momentum worldwide. Born in Australia, it is rapidly spreading to the US through music, mostly worship, and the Hillsong United team. It isn't a movement about loving revolution, but being part of a revolution fueled by Godly love, our love for life, and our love for people. People who are taking it to the streets.. Who aren't just doing Church, but who are stepping out and BEING the Church.. And this is what will decide whether we're a part of generation of hype and good intentions - who sung the songs and talked about making a difference but with little action.. Or whether we can truly say we were a part of global revolution. A movement of passionate people who laid down our own personal agendas for the good of others and the cause of Christ.. Who stood up and DID something.. With no agenda but LOVE..

Here are some pictures from the conference. We only took a few because we were so consumed with taking in the conference.

We can honestly say we are forever changed after this conference. It really awakened us to the needs that there are all around us. We just feel like we have been blessed with so much that we have to do something about it! The question is "where to start"?

Yesterday evening we drove out to Galveston to photograph the engagements of Kaycee and Thomas. These two were so much fun from the get go! When we started shooting we got swarmed by a billion mosquitoes so we had to stop the shoot and go buy some mosquito repellent! We had NEVER seen so many and such HUGE ones in our lives!!! Nevertheless, Kaycee and Thomas were troopers. They got out there and just had fun being their selves. We had a blast and can't wait for their wedding which will be in Galveston in October.

Bryan, Texas

This weekend we traveled to Bryan, TX to shoot the wedding of Lindsay and Jeremy. It didn't take us long after a few snack stops. We were all CRAVING chick-fil-a but couldn't find one the whole way...so we ended up at Sonic :(

We were amazed at all the little antique buildings...such a beautiful little town. We had traveled there a few times for volleyball tournaments but never stopped to enjoy the scenery.

As we arrived at the beautiful La Salle Hotel, Lindsay was getting ready with her bridesmaids. She was amazingly calm helping them with the finishing touches. That is where we started shooting...

They were married under a gazebo at a cute little park a few blocks from downtown Bryan. The day couldn't be more perfect! Lindsay and her bridesmaids rode a limo from the hotel to the park where the groomsmen awaited to escort them down the aisle as they arrived :-)

After the reception we followed them to their hotel and snapped a few shots of them before we left. What a wonderful ending to a perfect day! Oh how we love road trips!

Change is for the better!

So...the other night after attending an outstanding seminar which really motivated us, "The Girls" had a meeting and discussed changes that will be taking place. We made a list of all our priorities and things that are needed for 2009. Some of the changes will be to our website, blog and pricing. We just wanted to give everyone a "heads up" about the new wedding pricing and packages. The prices you see on the website now are the new prices for our wedding packages. If we have already spoken to you about booking your wedding at the old rates and you are still interested in booking, just send us a quick email and we will honor the old rates.

"The Girls" are so excited for what's in store for the future. We are doing a lot of new things and of course staying up to date on the latest trends and technology in digital photography! We can't wait for what 2009 has in store for us!!
